Remember in the last time we learned about prefixes? Well, this week we’re going to look at suffixes as a tool for learning new words. Yahoo!

Suffix
A suffix is a letter, a group of letters, or a word affixed to the end of another word to change its meaning.

Also, a word is often changed from one part of speech to another after a suffix has been added.  For example, the verb drive becomes the noun driver when you add er to it: This driver always drives his car too fast.
